Welcome to your Broad Street Hockey Brief for the entire first half of March, the first through the 14th.

The Broad Street Hockey Brief aims to be weekly, sometimes

bi-weekly, depending on how much this hockey team is destroying my soul. There's no real reason

to talk about this team every single week right now. Lousy Smarch hockey. Anyway,

here's what we've been looking at. March started with a three-game series

against the Penguins, a five-to-two loss on March 2nd, a four-to-three win on the fourth, and then a

four-to-three loss on the sixth. Next up was a series with the Washington Capitals, broken up by a

random visit from the Buffalo Sabres. Game one against the Caps was a series with the Washington Capitals, broken up by a random visit from the Buffalo Sabres.

Game 1 against the Caps was a 3-1 loss on March 7th.

Then came a 5-4 shootout win over the Sabres on Tuesday, March 9th.

That was followed up by two more losses to the Capitals, a 5-3 loss on the 11th, and a 5 to 4 loss on the 13th.

Today is March 14th. We've all earned some pie today.
