Today's guest is Dr. John Dowling,

and we are going to talk about his latest book,

Understanding the Brain,

from Cells to Behavior to Cognition.

Dr Dowling teaches at Harvard, where he has been studying the neuroscience of vision for

decades. He has also written many books including one called Vision which he

wrote with his brother Joseph just a few years ago.

I was very eager to have Dr Dowling on brain science because I actually featured another

one of his books, The Great Brain Debate, Nature or Nurture, way back in episode 4.
