Hmm, the first time I heard his name, I think I heard about this homerun derby that they

had at Tropical Canada Field for high school kids.

And I saw a note that this kid Bryce Harper hit one off the back wall at Tropical Canada

Field.

Right, this is back in 2009 when Bryce Harper is just 16 years old, I believe.

You can actually hear the clang of the metal bat.

And there's an even louder boom after that when the ball actually hits the back of the

dome at Tropical Canada Field.

I've been in that park and that's a bomb, right?

Yep, and I know they're using metal bats, but this is a high school kid going up some

place where most major players would never go.

So I'm like, hmm.

You hear these stories and maybe it was an exaggeration.

So I was like, let me find out what's going on with this Bryce Harper, dude.

I went to Sam Mountain Vegas, spent a couple of days with him and his family went out

to dinner, watched him play a high school game, watching him play a high school baseball

game.

It was actually scary.
