they were racking up Stanley Cubs, but the building of the Islanders.

See, to me, that Islander's team was, it was created by Bill Torrey,

starting with a blank piece of paper.

That's why I've always made the point that I think Bill Torrey is the greatest

general manager in the history of the NHL, because he was able to plunk

all timers and put them on this roster, whether it was Potvin on the point,

whether it was Bossy on the Wing, whether it was Gilles on the Wing.
