Thank you. podcast. Well, good afternoon, everybody, and welcome to the Fox News, true crime podcast. I am Paul Morrow, sitting in for the great Emily Campano, and we are here in Boise, Idaho,

having just sat through myself and Mike Ruiz, crime reporter at foxnews.com,

Fox investigative crime reporter, and we just sat through the entire hearing on the Brian Kohlberger sentencing.

And it was an emotional day, really a roller coaster of emotions for those of us who have been covering it these two and a half years.

So you can only imagine what it was like for the poor families.

But Mike, welcome to the show.

Thanks, Paul. So it's good to have you, and I wanted you

specifically because I don't know anybody who knows this case as well as you do. You and I were

colluding on this case quite early on, and both of us copped on to the fact that this is going to

be a difficult solve, and we followed it very closely, and then ultimately they did get there. So let's focus on today, because I think most of the audience is familiar with the contours of the case itself. Just walk me through today. How did it go? Give me a recap. Yeah, so, you know, in a sense we we kind of knew what was going to happen today. We expected,

obviously, he's going to get the maximum sentence that was left on the table. There was no way he was

getting death at this point, but life without parole, four consecutive sentences, plus another
