Hey, welcome back to Corolla Classics for Thursday, December 22nd, 2022. Happy holidays. Thank you so much for tuning in. This is the show where we play highlight to the Adam Corolla show.

And today we got a real great show lined up for you. My name is Chris Loxamana. I'm the executive producer of the Adam Corolla show. And with me, as always, Corolla Archivist Superfan Giovanni.

Hey, everybody. I'm super excited to present these clips today. Yeah. So I had some pretty monumental moments this year. I got married. I went on honeymoon. I got my catalog converter stolen. It's all been wonderful. But back in 2010, Bald Bryan went on a trip to Italy, like I did for my honeymoon. But his was interesting because it was during that big volcano where they shut everything down on the flights and the Icelandic volcano. Yeah, it was crazy.

Well, Bryan Spoiler alert did make it back to the US from Italy. And this is yeah, so back in April of 2010. He returns to the show. And this is going to be his first show back.

Yep. And then also I stole his catalog converter. Well, he's gone. I need the money. Adam Corolla show 314, Teresa Strosser, Brian Bishop, Matt Silverstein, Dave Jester. Not in this portion of the show. This is just the opening with Brian explaining what happened and how he didn't make off with everybody's laugh with Bald Bryan money and pretending he was sick when he actually was sick. And then he also did get trapped in Europe. People were kind of mean about that. Hope you guys enjoy.

Correct. So what was it? How was it? You're supposed to be over there for a week. I was going for two weeks. It was relegated head back. And of course, I don't know how big news it was over here, but it was huge news in Europe.

Of course, the Icelandic volcano erupted spreading volcanic ash into the air, literally freezing off flights in Europe. So wherever you were, it was where you were, unless you wanted to try and get a train ticket or a ferry somewhere.

But our flight was from Rome to London, where we're supposed to spend a couple days, because I'd never been to Europe at the level of London. And then back home. And our flight was canceled and then re-cancelled.

And people were kind of like, oh cool, you got a couple extra days of vacation. But when you're kind of stressing out about your flight being maybe canceled or maybe not canceled and you spend all your money and Rome is not the world's cheapest place to stay, it's stressful.

So luckily, Christie used to be a business traveler, so we had a ton of hotel points. And she had a high school friend who lived there, so we stayed with her for a couple days.

And once they pushed us back like a full week, we're like, all right, let her guard down, hang out, drive to the Malfi Coast, because that's cheaper actually than Rome. So we rented a car for relatively cheap, drove down there, spent a couple days, drove back full home last night.

Yeah, because they, you know, it's not cheap. No, you know, they old saying one in Rome, eat top ramen.

Oh, yeah, day in your hotel room in spank off to just the trailers on the porn. Right.

In that case, during a success, get to the Malfi Coast where it's cheaper. It's beautiful there. And I've been there before and it's just one of those.

I mean, I guess out here in Southern California, it's sort of PCH-ish up north.

But it doesn't compare with a little little Baja mixed into it. It's that on steroids on crap.

Oh, wait, turbo? Yeah, turbocharged. Yeah, turbocharged that. No, I mean, there's a couple of stretches between here in San Francisco that get close to it, but that's nothing but that.

And it's just way over the ocean. No, no, no, no guard rails. No, no, no, I was not driving.
