Bruce Raidel is a senior fellow in the foreign policy program at the Brookings Institution

where he and I have been colleagues for a good long time. He is also a long-serving CIA analyst

who at the time of 9-11 was working for the National Security Council in the White House.

In recent days, he has published two articles on LawFair about new information

that has emerged about the post 9-11 era.

One involves the interrogation of Abu Zubayda, the Al Qaeda operative first captured by the CIA

and subjected to brutal interrogations by the agency.

The other article involves Bruce's own notes of conversations with President Bush

in the days immediately following 9-11.
