and also the man of the hour Ralph Nader. We've got a great show for you today. David,

tell us who our guest is.

Our guest today is Bruce Fein, who has been called the most creative attorney in America.

In his long career, Mr. Fein was associate deputy attorney general and general counsel

to the Federal Communications Commission under President Ronald Reagan.

He has been a visiting fellow for constitutional studies at the Heritage Foundation

and Ajax Scholar at American Enterprise Institute. Mr. Fein is also the author of

constitutional peril, the life and death struggle for our constitution and democracy,

and also American Empire. Before the fall, Ralph, please welcome Bruce Fein.

Delighted. Thank you very much, David and Bruce. Before I get my first question, I do want to

fill in a couple areas in your biography. You graduated from Harvard Law School in 1972.

You were in the Reagan Justice Department. You were a policy advisor to Ron Paul's presidential

run in 2012. And by now our listeners are saying, what are you doing having a Republican like that

on the show? Very simple. I first got wind of where Bruce Fein stood on the issue of constitutional

compliance and foreign policy. When I heard he had a press conference where he asked for the

impeachment of George W. Bush and Dick Cheney, Bruce Fein is a Republican. He'd probably call

himself a conservative libertarian, but as a clear eyed view about what the rule of law is all

about. And in recent years, he has been ferociously writing upeds, sending letters to members of

Congress, to the White House, Attorney General, and his books are very compelling reflection of his
