Welcome in to your Wednesday, July 8th episode.

It is Jake and Brad.

We come at you one day after a really disastrous U.S. soccer finish, which felt a lot like,

I think the best one I saw out there was the Tennessee coming into Ohio State a few years back

and doing the whole shirtless pregame routine, only to be beat by plenty of

points in that game. It was very humbling and we don't spend much time on it. It's a bummer

to have this team that felt like they were more up for this sort of stage and scale. And I said

to you before yesterday's pod that they were somehow favored in that game,

Brad, going into it.

And it was just an outclass scenario where you could just see the difference in the way

the wings played how they controlled the ball, the midfield.

It was, you know, I don't pretend to have a keen eye for soccer nuance.

And I could just, oh, you can see how much better one team is with the little stuff that matters the most in creating opportunities.

So a bit of a bummer there to see them after all that momentum.
