At a time when many were saying Jim Schwartz was the favorite, many thought Jim Schwartz would get the job, had done

great things with the defense. They're number one in the league in 2023. Got no sniffs for head

coach after that. Number two in the league in 2025, just one yard per game behind the Texans

as the best defense in the sport. But Todd Munkin gets a job.

He returns to Cleveland.

He has most recently been with the Ravens, working with Lamar Jackson.

There is no Lamar Jackson on the roster in Cleveland.

Job number one.

Who's the quarterback going to be?

I really was surprised by this, though.

He was the offensive coordinator in 2019

under the great Freddie Kitchens. And that was quite a one-year experiment for the Cleveland

Browns. But Todd Munkin is back. He's back. And, you know, the Browns have made their decision.

More specifically, Michael Hawley,

Jimmy Haslam has made his decision.

Because these decisions are made ultimately by the man in charge of the franchise, as we know.

And as we've seen time and again since he bought the team some 14 years ago.
