0:39.6	Good morning. Welcome back to Zach Jackson and friends. I am Zach Jackson. It's Thursday morning, January 8th. We're moving right along. The Brown search is underway. Today they will interview Jim Schwartz and Tommy Reese for the head coaching job.
0:43.5	I don't think they intend to hire Jim Schwartz.
0:47.0	I do think on some level, Jim Schwartz is a real candidate.
0:49.8	If he wants to be, let's see what happens.
0:54.3	This is my thought, my take, my message to everyone here.

1:19.4	The Browns would be wise to conduct a patient, wide-ranging search, to make calls, even if they think they're going to get told no, to use their time and resources to investigate young, interesting guys for multitude of reasons who may not be ready to be a head coach right now.
1:27.3	The theory that some of you guys are already floating that they're interviewing certain people for coordinator jobs and forcing that in, I'm not saying you're wrong. I certainly don't think you're right. I think it's wise to use this. I think it would be
1:32.4	unwise to feel like you have a plan and you'd be forcing a coordinator hire on a coach.
1:39.2	The best plan is to be patient. The best plan is to have an open mind. To an extent, the best plan is to use
1:47.2	your resources. And then ultimately who you do hire, when you do narrow it down to two or three,
1:53.7	and you zero in on the one, you have to let that guy work. You have to trust him. And he's not
1:59.6	going to be the greatest coach in the world on
2:02.2	February 15th. And that's fine because they don't play until September 15th. He's not going to be
2:06.1	the best coach in the world on September or October 15th. But you have to get a guy you trust can grow.
2:11.0	Trust will get the right people. Trust is on the same page about where this team really is.
2:20.2	And look, it's interesting because this defense is pretty good and we'll see how much of it comes back in the shape and in who's around. Things are
2:26.7	ever changing and this is a dangerous thought in the NFL, but when you look at next year's schedule,
2:30.3	it's really bad based right now on other teams that have coaching searches and bad
