The Brown University Gunman Is Still Out There—Here's Why They Can't Find Him #As the 48-hour mark passed on Monday, the authorities renewed their efforts to find the gunman. F.B.I. ballistics experts worked to recreate the scene. The police knocked on doors asking for security camera footage, searched back alleys and kicked through fields of snow. The FBI has offered a $50,000 dollar reward for information leading to the gunman's arrest and conviction.

0:35.5	There's been a lot of people out there criticizing the investigation.
0:43.1	And early on in the investigation, I spoke about how it's possible to go in the wrong direction
0:51.8	with an investigation and have the wrong person as the person of interest
0:57.8	that was, that's how he was referred to by the Providence Police Department and the FBI
1:05.2	and the state police and the Brown University campus police.

1:20.5	is headquartered and headed by the province, Providence police. When see the chief Perez he is the lead on this case
1:32.9	the FBI is assisting and I'm sure the Providence police are thrilled to have the FBI but
1:39.1	there's a lot of undercurrent here of politics. And what do I mean by that?
1:45.8	Well, much of the investigative tools that the province, Providence police are using, they're
1:54.4	being advised by certain people.
1:57.2	And the undercurrent of not releasing things when you need the public's help is absolutely out there.
2:04.8	And I think that's disgusting.
2:07.5	You know, they need to use the public to catch this guy, right?
2:11.7	This is new video of him two hours before the shooting.
2:16.8	What did we find out about this? Well, we still don't have a picture of his face. before the shooting. What did we find out about this?
