Summary
In 1976, three brothers—Mike, Harold, and Scott—hiked along Old William Penn Highway, a forested road, to meet girls in Garden City, Monroeville. On their way, they encountered a foul smell, like a dead animal, which unnerved them. After meeting the girls and heading back at midnight, they felt watched. As they walked, something large moved through the forest, paralleling and then approaching them, causing panic. They ran, but the entity kept pace, eventually overtaking them. Mike screamed after seeing a tall, furry creature crouching near the road, watching them. Terrified and in shock, the brothers struggled to reach their car and drove away slowly. Mike described the creature as over six feet tall, covered in fur, and curiously observing them without attacking. The experience left them traumatized, avoiding nighttime hikes and carrying firearms for protection thereafter.
