Hey there, my friends. Welcome back once again to the morning mindset. The morning mindset is here to help you get your mind and your heart aligned with the truth of God's word for this day. I encourage us not to look too far in advance. We just need to think about God's will for us for this day, what God's saying to us through

his word this morning, so that we can live the next 24 hours for His sake and for His glory.

And we do that by thinking his thoughts and putting them into action.

We're going to be looking today at 1st Peter chapter 3, verse number 8, as Peter gives us instructions for how we are to behave toward other Christians.

So think about your day. Who are you going to come across? Who is a believer in Jesus Christ? Maybe it's a family member. Maybe it's someone at your workplace. Someone who you meet at a store and you find out is a believer. How are you supposed to behave toward them?

This is very specifically what we're going to talk about today. Before we do that, I want to invite you to get out your Bibles, get out your morning mindset journal. All right, friends, let's pray before we dig into 1. Peter 3, verse number 8.

Lord Jesus, we are grateful that you have given us this word. We're grateful that you

give us instructions and that you care how we interact with other believers. Guide us, teach us,

encourage us, strengthen us today, and give us hearts that are willing and eager to obey.

We ask in Jesus' name, amen. Okay, friends, we are looking at 1 Peter 3, verse number 8.

Here's how it reads, finally, all of you have unity of mind, sympathy, brotherly love,

a tender heart, and a humble mind.

We've already looked at the first two or three little things in there

that Peters mentioned. Today we're focusing in on this issue of brotherly love and a tender heart.

Now, many of us, I know, have not had the greatest experience or relationships with our siblings.

Maybe it was a home where abuse was allowed and you were abused by a sibling and so you therefore don't have a good relationship.

Remember that when scripture talks about familial relationships, so like brother to brother,

brother to sister, or a father to child, it is wanting us to draw to mind the ideal

version of that okay it's using what it should be like as the example we are to follow so when it

says we are to have brotherly love toward one another we need to understand. Peter is telling us love like a brother
