| 0:00.0 | Donald Trump is granted a political reprieve after the judge overseeing his New York criminal case delays his sentencing. |
| 0:07.7 | That says Kamala Harris picks up some new Republican support. |
| 0:11.3 | On that and more, we turn tonight to the analysis of Brooks and Atkins Store. |
| 0:15.5 | That's New York Times columnist David Brooks and Boston Globe columnist Kimberly Atkins Store. |
| 0:20.5 | Jonathan Capehart is away this evening. |
| 0:22.5 | Great to see you both. Good to see you. So as I just said, former President Donald Trump will not be |
| 0:27.4 | sentenced in his New York criminal case until after election day. The judge in that case, Juan |

| 1:18.0 | We are talking about something that's going to be below that, |
| 1:20.7 | maybe at best, probation, some fines. |
| 1:24.4 | So I think it was the right decision just to keep it out of the political sphere entirely. |
| 1:30.2 | David, you could argue, though, that this does affect the election in the sense that Donald Trump's |
| 1:35.6 | criminal convictions likely won't be at the forefront of the campaign in the final weeks to election day. |
| 1:41.8 | And delay has been a feature of each of his criminal cases. |
