Hello and welcome to the game three podcast offseason preview series where Bryce Simon and I dig deep into all 30 NBA teams forthcoming decisions over the course of the summer.

Today we're talking about the Brooklyn Nets who have a very interesting offseason at the very least.

They have bundles and buckets of cap space.

They have the number six overall pick after getting unlucky on lottery night.

And to be honest with you, they have a roster that I don't really love. And I think we're all trying to figure out where the future plans are for this organization.

I am fascinated to see what decision and direction they go in, especially with forthcoming lottery reform, where they really can't be

terrible again. And it's, it's annoying because I actually think Jordy Fernandez is an excellent

basketball coach. And he does work to get the most out of the team. It's just that there's

some talent issues here that they have to overcome.

And hopefully this summer they're able to attract players that allow them to do that, right, Bryce?

Yeah, it's kind of interesting because I'm with you.

We talk about Jordi Fernandez all the time as a coach we really appreciate and think is really good at being an NBA coach.

And I think to your point,

whenever you really go through the roster and think about how many rookies

they played last year at different times,

I think it kind of amplifies that even more in terms of what he did

throughout different portions of the season.

Obviously, we know eventually winning wasn't maybe the priority for this team for a large chunk

of the year.

But I do think that this is a team and organization that's at least going to take their first

step forward towards starting to build out this roster to a competitive place.

I don't know that they can do it all in one off season,
