Here's what I'm hearing about the Denver Broncos heading into free agency.

I'm Zach Stevens and I've covered the Broncos for 10 full seasons and I just got back from

the combine in Indianapolis and I'm going to break down what I'm hearing around NFL circles

and from inside the Broncos building heading into free agency.

jump in with the first takeaway, and that is pursuing a playmaker. The story at the combine was

about how the Broncos are going to pursue a playmaker aggressively. Now, how they're going to do that and who they're going to get is a different story. That is very much the question that was being asked at the combine, but there's no doubt the belief in NFL circles is the Denver Broncos want a playmaker. Now, that could come of one of three ways. It could come at running back, it could come a wide receiver, and it could come at tight end. Let me tell you what I'm hearing about all three of those

positions. At the wide receiver spot, that is the position that in NFL circles is believed

the Broncos are going to target to upgrade their number one receiver and make court their number

two and then build the rest of the room. However, the biggest discrepancy that I heard is inside the Broncos building, from what I understand, they really

like their wide receivers and want to continue to develop Marvin Mims, Troy Franklin, and Pat

Brian to go along with Cortland Sutton. So from what I'm hearing inside the building,

is wide receiver isn't as big of a priority as the NFL believes it is from the

outside looking in. Now, when it comes to running back, there's a couple of names to keep

your eye on. And the biggest one is Breece Hall. Now, it's believed that the New York Jets are

going to franchise tag or transition tag, Breeze Hall. However, if they don't expect the Broncos

to be interested in Breeze Hall, he would be they don't expect the Broncos to be interested in

Breeze Hall, he would be a perfect running back for Sean Payton's system where he's able to catch

the ball out of the backfield and also be a three-down runner. And Bruce Hall has interest in the

Broncos as well. But it looks like there's going to be a roadblock there with the Jets blocking that

one. And then when it comes to the tight end position, Cade Otten is a name to keep your eye on.
