The NFL draft is just one week away, and George Payton and Sean Payton held their annual pre-draft press conference a week before the draft.

And I got to say, I learned a lot more coming out of this than I was expecting to learn, especially with the Broncos not picking until the 60-second pick.

season as well. Without further to do, let's dive in. And I'll tell you what, Sean Peyton and

George Payton are embracing the challenge of having the 60 second pick be their first pick

in this draft. George and Sean Peyton have been in what they've called the dungeon and the bunker since the owners meetings two weeks ago where they have just been grinding tape.

And George Peyton said, quote, we feel good about 62.

We feel good about the fourth round picks as well.

Those are harder to predict, though, obviously.

And George said even at 62, the expectations for this draft class

are the same that they have for every draft class. They're high. And the good news is that the

Broncos have experience with this. Of course, Broncos didn't have a couple of first round picks,

and they still came away with good players like Marvin Mims, like Riley Moss, like Nick

effin Benito, as George Payton said,

when he fell to the Broncos at pick 60 just a couple of years ago. And George said, we've

gotten good players with lesser picks. And Sean Payton said that the prep does not change

despite not having a first round pick, despite not having an early second round pick,

they're still doing all of their due diligence, despite just having one pick in the top 100.
