different background from you guys i've always been a reservist uh i did r tc and then uh i didn't get

picked up for pilot training slot in ROTC.

So went on just different pilot forums and wearing that the reserves were having this unsponsored board.

I was like, cool, that's probably my chance to do that.

I was dating my wife at the time and she didn't really want to do the active duty lifestyle so uh i moved out to

utah found this reserve board called a fpc and i was like hey i don't want to get out of an active

do or i don't want to get out of um the air force but i want to try to go fly in the reserves and they're like

cool that's fine just get hired by a reserve unit will let you

out of reactive duty commitment. And, you know, you can go apply. So I was up here in Utah, so moved

out here after school on Arizona State and then put in my pilot training application. I was in

the snakes as a as a snacko, just waiting to get picked up and ended up getting picked up on this unsponsored board in the reserves, which is

one of the first times they've done that in about 10 years. Now it was about 2015 time frame. So I was

going to UPT, unsponsored, didn't have a unit to go back team and just kind of just go through
