It came out May 2024, hot off the presses.

Griner is a six-time W-N-B-A All-Star Center for the Phoenix Mercury.

Her memoir came out two years after the infamous incident that we all know so well from the news,

but let me recap it here. On February 17, 2022, Griner arrived in Moscow to spend the W NBA off season playing for the Russian women's basketball team.

But when passing through a security checkpoint, she was arrested for carrying under one gram of medically prescribed hash oil, which is illegal in Russia.

The Russian court found Griner guilty and sentenced her to nine years in prison and find her one million rubles, which is $16,000.

Griner's family enlisted the help of Bring Our Families Home to appeal for her release and

then on December 8th, 2022 after 11 months in prison she was released by Russia in a

prisoner swap for notorious international arms dealer Victor Boot.
