Britt on Wednesday evening, John Kaczynski of the Athletic, reported the Timberwolves are now in, quote, serious talks with Tim Connolly to become the Wolves new president

of basketball operations.

Conley is, of course, Denver Nuggets president.

Right now has been running the show there since he took over from a Sayu Jury back in 2013.

So that's eight seasons.

He's been there eight drafts.

You know, last year, Bones Highlands, Zieg Naji, R.J. Hampton, the year before that,

he drafted Michael Porter, Jr., Jared Vanderbilt, Mante, Bones Highlands, Ziegnazzi, R.J. Hampton, the year before that, he drafted

Michael Porter Jr., Jared Vanderbilt, Monti Morris, Jamal Murray, Wancho, Malik Beasley,

Yusuf Nerkich, Gary Harris, and Nicola Yokic, of course. To name a few of those, I think

that's probably Conley's most attractive attribute on paper that we can

really quantify by just kind of pulling up his history there. Obviously, he's made other

picks, bad picks too, Tyler Leiden, Manuel Moudier, were first-on-picks that didn't work out.

But I think more importantly than Conley's draft history or anything,

I mean, this from a Wolves perspective is the first, you know,

signal that Mark Lurie and Alex Rodriguez aren't completely blowing smoke

when they say that they are looking for a, quote, unquote, top five executive to run the organization.

Well, they're not only top five. They are blowing smoke, right? Well, that's what I wanted to get your opinion on. We were planning on discussing your column, which actually, you wrote on Tuesday, so it, you know, you didn't have this information at the time when it came up.

But you did talk about the importance of, you know, the column was on three things that the

wolves can do this summer to, you know, sustain the success of this season and grow it moving
