It is Tuesday, November 2nd, the afternoon after the Timberwolves lost to the Orlando

Magic on Monday night by 18 points, I would say, probably the low point of the Timberl's season

this far this year. Britt Robson, of Midposts, is my guest, this morning, got up early,

wrote a column on kind of the carnage from that,

but also reason for optimism, Britt, on why this isn't necessarily same old wolves, even if

part of it feels same old wolves. What kind of went into your thought process behind writing

that piece this morning?

Well, I think defense is more reliable than offense. I think they, you know, they, as Chris Finch acknowledged last night after the game, this was really the first time this season where

the team's terrible offense leded into their defensive intensity.

And I think that had to do with panic, quite frankly.

I think if there is a reason why you would be pessimistic about this Wolves team,

it's because they still have zero poise when they need poise.

Even in games that they pulled out that were close against the pelicans in the first

matchup and against the bucks, they had moments where you could just tell they collectively

seized themselves by the throat and needed, you know, the ball to go in, whether it was an

ant drive or whether it was a Pat Beverly steel and, you know, feed to ant for something,

just something positive to happen. But it felt like a lack of poise.

Now, the positive aspect of this is if you get stops,

I think it's easier to lose your poise on offense.

You begin to feel like everything is on you.

Certainly that's what all of the big three do,
