It's July 3rd and thought we had to kind of pop on here over the holiday weekend

to update and discuss how the wolves offseason is shaking out.

The wolves re-signed Nikiel Alexander Walker over the weekend,

also signed Jake Milton and Troy Brown Jr. to free agent deals.

So we'll touch on both of those signings, but the biggest news of the week,

probably the biggest news of the wolves off season, even if it was kind of expected,

is that Anthony Edwards signed a max contract extension this afternoon

that will keep him under contract with the Wolves through 2029. No player option in that

fifth year of the deal. The deal can pay him between, we'll pay him $217 million. If he

doesn't make all NBA this season, $260 million over the course of that contract. If he does

make all NBA this season.

But Britt, the big kicker here is that he's on the team.

He's locked up.

There were times, windows, I think, over the course of his three years here were no doing of his own, but things were just getting shaky with the wolves, changing coaches,

changing executive.

I mean, he's had three different presidents of basketball operations in three seasons with

the timber wolves.

I think there was a time, a point in time where it was, this wasn't a guarantee, guarantee

that that aunt was going to be here for the long haul

and no, it's got some credit to the organization, kind of restabilizing here over the past
