The cast review, which is the most extensive and thorough evidence-based review of treatment

for children experiencing gender distress ever undertaken, landed like a bomb show in the UK.

The main conclusion of the report is that the science is not settled about so-called gender-affirming

treatments of minors.

In fact, Dr. Kask concluded that for most young people, a medical pathway will not be the best way to

manage their gender-related distress. Now as expected the reaction to the report was

swift and shrill many attempted to discredit it. For example British MP Don Butler claimed that Dr

Cass had left out a hundred studies from the report. Well turns out she was only

repeating a false social media post from a pro-Lg LGBTQ organization without fact checking or reading the report.

After being corrected however, Butler admitted her mistake and then apologized for

inadvertently misleading the house. Good for her.

She's given us all an example

with the power of truth to change hearts and minds.
