There are many people in the UK with plenty to complain about

when it comes to the state of the economy.

But no group has a bigger case of being left behind as young people.

They've had to deal with multiple once-in-a-lifetime economic shocks, one after the other,

during what should have been the halcyon days of their lives.

And politically, they've not just been ignored by the political class,

but actively demonised for supposedly

being work-shy and lazy or spoiled and entitled. The latest moral panic, however, around young people,

is regarding the levels of youth unemployment, given that the number of young people not in education,

employment, or training, that's neat, for short, has breached the one million mark,

around 13 and a half percent of 16 to 24s.

Now, this is at least somewhat of an admission, finally, that the economy just isn't working
