What do you think is going to emerge as we try to work out some compromises on ICE and federal immigration enforcement?

Well, there'll be some adjustments in how ICE goes about these immigration arrests and deportations.

Probably not very much.

Broadly speaking, I think the public is on the administration's side, broadly speaking.

But in terms of some of the methods that have led to deaths among people who, whatever they did, probably most people

feel didn't deserve to die.

There will be, and have already been some changes in that.

But this is a very interesting set of developments, Brian, because in a way, you look at the

state of Minnesota and you think this is upside downland out there.

Yes.

I mean, people are coming to enforce the law. It is their duty and responsibility to do that under the law,

and they're being told to get out of the state. I mean, I don't think since the civil rights era

in the 60s, when these southern politicians were trying to block the enforcement

of new civil rights laws, I don't think I've ever seen anything like that since that era.

And that was a remarkable time.

So Tom Homan's out now, and he's talking about drawing down 700 agents immediately.

But there's also some reports that Jackie Heinrich was saying that they have agreed

to give him access to prisons.
