The cost of grocery shopping, you know, buying staples, has risen 29% since before the pandemic.

But the big grocery stores are saying, hey, we've got a lot of cheap stuff for the holidays.

So why don't you stop in?

And so the wholesale price of frozen turkey is coming in at like 173 a pound,

because Thanksgiving is next week, for those of you that are not aware.

If you're listing live today is the 21st of November, 2025, which means we are less than a week away from Thanksgiving.

And I will say this, Walmart is selling their turkeys for 97 cents a pound.

Ooh, okay, a lost leader.

Now, they bundled their first holiday dinner, I don't know, three, four years ago,

and now they have their Thanksgiving bundle that it's going to cost you about $4 a person

for a table of 10. They've removed some of the items from the meal, but it's still, you know,

four bucks a person for 10. Aldi announced a $40 bundle that includes a 14-pound turkey

and traditional fixings to feed 10 people.

That's about $7 drop from what it offered last year.

Okay, saving a little money there.

I like that.

And our friends at the American Farm Bureau Federation, love them,

priced the classic dinner this year at $55.18 for a party of 10 this year, based on wholesale prices.

And that's about $5.52 a person, which is down 5% from last year. Love that. Okay. But I hate to bring bad news to the story,

but it's still 13% higher than it was in 2019. So there you have it. Happy Thanksgiving.
