word and that heightens your awareness of his very real presence in your life. Well, many of us are

praying, I mean earnestly praying for revival. We want to see an awakening in the church.

We want to see a surge of

spiritual hunger and even holy desperation. We want to see a deepened sense of awe and conviction,

you know, where we're more bothered by our sin than ever before. We want to find in the church a newfound

fear of the Lord. Can somebody give me an amen? Yes, the church needs an awakening.

But what about culture? And how can a spiritual outpouring in the church become a cultural

awakening in the society? How can we move from revival to reformation? Dr. Michael Brown joins us

back on the show today to talk about his new book, Turn the Tide,

How to Ignite a Cultural Awakening. He says this, my greatest concern is not so much the presence

of darkness in America as it is the absence of light. We can see genuine lasting societal transformation

by implementing the principles laid out for us in scripture. And though we know most of our

listeners are from the U.S., we've got listeners in 170 countries, but I would say what's happening in

America is happening all over the world in different ways. So take what you hear today to heart and pray for

your own nation. Seek to be a light in the darkness in your own nation. Dr. Brown's also
