Lucid is cutting its prices in response to the market and probably to Tesla as well.

Five grand off the air pure. That is now $82,000. Twelve.5 grand, off the touring and grand touring. That's kind of

bring the prices back to where they started. The best one you can get, the Grand Touring, that's the one with

516 miles EPA range and real world range as well. 112 kilowatt-hour battery pack on that lease

pricing is out. 749 a month for the Air Pure, which does include that little

federal tax credit loophole for leasing of vehicles for any price, whereas of course the

inflation reduction act did put a price limit on to that subsidy, which the lucids are not

eligible for. CATL are gearing up for the product launch on August 16th of something that

they've teased as being fast charging

battery technology. Don't put anything past the world's number one EV battery maker.

They've released some decent technology lately. Their latest battery was the condensed battery back

in April. It was at the Shanghai Motor Show, wasn't it? This next announcement, can't wait to see.

Japan is gearing up to upgrade their EV charging on their highways and as a way of insight into

why Japan doesn't really have an EV industry domestically because the average speed of a

highway charger at the minute is 40 kilowatts and they're going to upgrade them all to

brace yourself 90 kilowatts. they're going to upgrade them all to brace yourself 90 kilowatts.

Ooh.

That's why the Japanese aren't in love with electric vehicles.

They're talking about hydrogen and things like that because, well, if that's where you live

and you don't experience 350 kilowatt DC fast charging, then that might be why.
