Boris Johnson rode into Downing Street on the coattails of Brexit.

Now he's the Prime Minister faced with guiding the UK through a global pandemic.

Let's imagine we're at the point where the second COVID wave is receding.

Is Mr Johnson still standing?

What state is his party in and what about his precious union?

I'm usually wrong, but I'll give it to you for what it's worth.

I think that it'll take a long time for COVID to go away

so that people can really resume anything remotely like normal life, by which time I think

that Boris will be pretty much a goner. He has called it wrong all the way through. I'm sure we'll

be talking about more of that later. Brexit will have been pretty bruising. And the Tory party,

as John knows well, is utterly ruthless.

And if they think they haven't got a winner anymore, they'll dish him for somebody else,

maybe for Sunak, whoever, he may not be top of the form by then.

But somebody, I don't think he'll be leading us into the next election.

John, do you think Polly might be right this time?

No, she might be right,

but I don't think she will. You know, I think that Boris is in a stronger position than Polly suggests. I suspect because Polly wants a certain result on that. Now, I think that they've got a

problem, that the anti-Borris faction is a problem as usual who is the candidate what would he

have done better is he a real brexiteer does he care about these things um and what about the union

those are all the factors which are going to come into play and continue to come into play but of course

you're suggesting that the virus is receding in this, well, I don't know
