As Israel's war on Gaza continues, we're coming to you on Sundays with a weekly roundup.

This week, 123 days into a ceasefire, Israel has killed at least 524 Palestinians in Gaza.

Israel reopened the Rafa crossing as Israeli strikes continued to claim lives.

Israel is continuing to destroy cemeteries in Gaza.

Today is Sunday, February 1.

Israel has killed more than 71,769 Palestinians in Gaza since October 7, 2023.

On Sunday morning, Israel reopened the Rafa crossing, which connects the Gaza Strip to Egypt.

It has been closed for nearly two years.

But as Al Jazeera's Hani Mahmoud reported, Israel is severely restricting who and what is allowed

in and out.

So far, the Israeli military is talking about movement in both directions where 150 Palestinians

are expected to be leaving on daily basis and 50 only allowed to return so

this disparity between the two numbers it just sends cast doubts and fear

among people as they want the those who are exiting and those returning to be

equally the same that is something that people have been worried about over the past two years, that everything

that's done on the ground.

And right after taking over the Raffa crossing, what is really military intended to do

is to empty the Gaza Strip through controlling people's movement

in and out of the Gaza Strip.
