We're coming to you on Sundays with weekly roundups, as Israel's war in Gaza, Lebanon, and Syria continues.

Israel began a new military operation in Gaza, killing more than 300 Palestinians since Thursday.

Earlier in the week, Israel bombed two hospitals, killing a journalist

it had previously wounded. Today is Sunday, May 18. It is day 590 of the war in Gaza, where

more than 53,272 Palestinians have been killed.

Israel killed at least 78 Palestinians in Gaza in pre-dawn strikes on Sunday. The bombardment, which some have said is the most intense since Israel's war on Gaza began,

comes as the Israeli military mobilizes for a new ground assault.

On Saturday, Al Jazeera's Moav Al-Kalut reported from Jabilia refugee camp in northern Gaza as

a distraught father attempted to rescue his children from under the rubble of their home.

These people were preparing themselves to flee from Jabilia refugee camp, but the Israel army couldn't wait

and killed them at once here in their homes and their houses here in this area.

My children are still under there. I don't know what to do. I'd gone to get a car to leave the

area. While I was standing in the street telling the driver to come and get us,

I don't know what happened next.

My wife and kids are still under there, poor souls, still children,

three years old, five years old and nine years old.

And before this, my daughter, my sisters and my mother

were martyred in a massacre at the beginning of the war.

And now again, the driver is still calling me saying he's on the way to pick us up.

I want to get them out, but I don't know how.

I'm in shock from what happened.
