As Israel's war on Gaza, Lebanon, and Syria continues,

we're coming to you on Sundays with a weekly roundup.

This week, ceasefire negotiations continued between Israel and Hamas,

as Israel's attacks on Gaza continued.

U.S. contractors said live ammunition had been used against Palestinians seeking aid in Gaza. Israel continued attacks in Lebanon, including a drone strike on a car near Beirut.

Today is Sunday, July 6.

It is day 639 of the war in Gaza, where at least 57,338 Palestinians have been killed.

Negotiations were expected on Sunday after Hamas issued a response to a U.S. proposal for a 60-day ceasefire in Gaza.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office released his statements saying that the amendments

Hamas wants to add to this latest proposal are unacceptable to Israel.

But nonetheless, that the Israelis would still be sending a delegation to the Qatari capital Doha on Sunday to meet with those negotiators to try and bridge the gaps between both sides.

Meanwhile, Benjamin Netanyahu himself is headed to Washington to meet with U.S. President Donald Trump.

There's been a lot of pressure on Netanyahu,

both domestic and international. On the domestic front, you have family members of Israeli

captives who've been protesting for nearly 650 days, and you have Netanyahu in the political

arena, his right-wing coalition partners not wanting a deal and wanting assurances from Netanyahu

that the war is not actually going to end. However, there has been some flexibility that's been

shown from the Israeli premiere, a lot of different reports within Israeli media citing the fact

that Netanyahu is finally showing this willingness, and that's because of the

international pressure that Netanyahu is getting from European allies, but also from
