Thank you for having me now there's no shortage of conversations around education right now.

So tell me this tell everybody your story quickly because you're

you're a school board what do you now president like how did you get into this game because you're

in florida.

Ron disantis himself i believe endorsed you for school board which is pretty cool and this has

become a big movement among conservatives were broadly that there are parents who are just like

i'm taking action here what happened with you.

Yeah so mine kind of goes back a little bit farther back uh 2014 i've three girls now ages uh

four seven and ten my oldest was only eight months old my husband's pretty active in politics

and i did a lot of nonprofit work but worked in corporate insurance and there was a vacant

theater i remember he was like you should run for school board i thought he was insane uh but you

know when you're raising a family and you realize that education plays such a pivotal role in their

trajectory and you looked at the school board there was no one there with young kids so i stepped

off the ledge um there was a vacancy so i did apply for the appointment uh governor then senator

rick's got but former governor uh did appoint me and then that elevated the polarization but i you

know i came out and just said i was an obvious i didn't work in education i was a bomb i was a
