1992 or how that came about. So this is what the big interview is for, I think. This episode is with the

crown prince of that triumph, one of the great elegant technically gifted thrilling

footballers of our generation, Brian Laudrop.

Brian joins us to give a forensic breakdown of how Denmark won those euros in what is one of the two great all-time underdog international tournament win stories.

The success actually was born in the club called Bromby,

Bromby the Danes call it, I think, years previously, where an incredible coming together of talent,

including Brian Laudrop, Peter Schmichael, amongst many others, laid foundations for what was to happen with the national team in

1992. This tale has everything, a real clash of football beliefs and personal animus which resulted in both Brian Laudra and Michael Laudra quitting the Danish team managed by Richard Miller Nielsen, the same man who would eventually bring glory to Denmark before

Brian decided to return before the tournament, not because he sniffed glory

for completely different reasons and then suddenly the opportunity to play in the euros in Sweden was

thrust upon him. He tells us everything about that, the stress. He looks each way and

talks about some of the key members of the team, including Schmichael.
