That's when it got wheels off. Brian Dunn is a songwriter who grew up not far from where I've lived for the last 20 years in the Hudson Valley here.

He lives now and joins us from Brooklyn, New York, having just released his new album, Luser on the Ropes, which is great. He has the perspective of someone who started this a full generation after me, but I feel like he and I could have been, you know, I don't know about separated at birth, but certainly old friends, he's a good dude. His perspective is fascinating to me. He's had to deal with a lot of stuff I've never had to deal with. I was lucky enough to be around for the music industry as a functioning entity,

and he's had to function in the world post-music industry.

But he's done a great job, and I think his outlook on the world,

I think his perspective, I think his attitude, I think those are why he has not only survived as long as he has, but flourished in the way that he has.

I'm really glad to be friends with Brian, and I'm really grateful that he was willing

to sit down and share some of his hard-earned wisdom with me and with you, faithful listener.
