0:03.0	And I was terrified and I almost didn't even send in a tape.

0:07.0	My mom, she basically like grabs my throat.
0:10.0	The statistics actually show now that schoolers test higher, they're being recruited by Ivy League's all this stuff.

0:16.0	You're not going to be in one class with the same group of kids who are the same age. Yeah.
0:21.6	When I started homeschooling, I lived in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
0:23.6	There was one co-op and it was weird.
0:25.6	Very, very odd, really, really small and my mom was like, this is not going to be your people.
0:28.6	We're going to do our own thing.
0:29.6	So she basically created this program for me.
0:33.6	She designed the curriculum.
0:34.6	She took all these books from classical education. It had me in basically every school extracurricular for the song.
0:40.3	I was dancing. I was in gymnastics. I was singing.
0:43.3	That makes the difference between the homeschoolers that are stereotypes.
0:46.3	And the ones that break through those is that we were highly socialized in a very dynamic and intentional way.
