Hello there, I'm Chuck Todd and this is the Chuck Todd cast.

We've been talking about division within the GOP for the past year at least, but after

the red wave that wasn't, there's no better place to watch it all come to a head.

And the House of Representatives, there are at least five House Republicans who have publicly

said they will not vote for Kevin McCarthy as speaker.

And he biggs, who is his actual opponent in the House Republican Conference, said there

at least 20 firm knows from Republicans.

McCarthy says his own party could be playing games on the floor, which could allow Democrats

to swoop in and help somebody else get the position.

Meanwhile, a growing number of Republican lawmakers are condemning former President Trump's

dinner with a white nationalist, Nick Fuentes, and of course the artist formerly known

as Kanye West.

I'm also want to talk a little bit about the 2024 Senate map that'll happen at the end,

because it's why it explains why Democrats are spending insurance company like money in

Georgia.

They've spent a lot of money in advertising before, but this is like flow from progressive

like money they're spending on this one.

So we'll get into that.

But to unpack what's happening inside the Republican Party, my two guests today are John
