Speaker Mike Johnson's decision to shut the door on a House vote before September on releasing the Epstein files

hasn't done much to dampen calls from GOP lawmakers.

It's an issue that continues to stir up the MAGA base,

even as President Donald Trump

has tried again and again to blame Democrats for fanning the flames.

Some of Trump's closest allies, like Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Green, warned they would

sign on to a bipartisan effort to force a vote on a bill to release the files.

I can tell you for the past, gosh, more than a week, the highest volume of calls into my office

have been about EPSY. People want the information.

The effort is being led by GOP lawmaker Thomas Massey, who needs a majority of House members

to sign on to force a vote when the House returns

in September.

He says he believes momentum will build over the upcoming recess.
