A big shout out to you every day, or this is a daily podcast covering the New York Jets with new episodes each day through the week, Monday through Friday. Well, we're getting ready for the NFL schedule release. The show is tomorrow night on NFL Network where the league will announce the bulk of its schedule. We will find out one Jets game today on Good Morning Football. The Jets game in London will be announced, date, time, and opponent. But on today's show, we're going to focus at a position that's gaining importance for the Jets when they take the field in 2025, and that's the running back position. I think that there's probably one roster spotted up for grabs, and it could come down to what the Jets want from the player in that role. There are a couple of second year backs who will battle it out for a key role on this team.

1:31.3

But let's begin by talking about Brees Hall, a back who generates a lot of attention.

1:37.3

And he will continue to generate a lot of attention, first of all, for his play on the field.

1:40.7

But second of all, because in 2025, he is entering the final year of his

1:45.0

contract. And I think the importance of Bruce Hall has grown this year relative to last year.

1:52.6

At least most of last year, the Jets had two really good wide receivers in Garrett Wilson and

1:57.6

Devante Adams. And this was an offense that was based around the quarterback,

2:07.9

Aaron Rogers. In 2025, the Jets offense, I think, is going to lean heavily on the run game. And part of that is because of the quarterback the Jets have, Justin Fields, who in his own right is a very

2:13.7

talented runner. And it was not a terrible throwover of the football,

2:21.4

but a guy who's still very much a work in progress as a passer.

2:25.5

And I think the Jets are going to be one of the league leaders in rushing attempts this year, in part because I think the quarterback is going to receive plenty of design runs.

2:30.1

And I think the Jets will work in a lot of option plays,

2:32.9

where the quarterback can either keep it or hand the ball off depending on how the defense looks. And this is the type of thing that I think could open up big things for Brees Hall. I think Brees Hall is going to be a key player for the Jets in 2025. And it's interesting, it's kind of funny to say that because Aaron Glenn in a recent media interview kind of suggested Bce Hall's role might be cut back a little bit.

2:52.8

He talked about how the Jets are going to go with kind of a three-headed monster out of the backfield where they'll be splitting carries between Breast, Breast, Braylin Allen, and Isaiah Davis.
