of you that have reached out. It's been great to reconnect. You've been really kind and generous in

your feedback of our kind of reboot of the Scripture Study project if you're new if this is your first

episode two episodes ago i i put out a welcome back episode that kind of reintroduces you to who

uh who we are who this podcast is and then last episode introduced the idea for this season

this is a study of the Old Testament, but not necessarily

glued to the Come Follow Me pacing, rather we're zooming out a bit and looking at perspectives,

lenses, and ideas that permeate the entire Old Testament and could be something that you

could use in your personal study, regardless of

where you are. Now, last episode, we introduced this overarching idea that begins right in Genesis

1, verse 2, where before the Lord creates anything, it says that the Spirit of God moved. And we looked at the Hebrew root

of that word, which is Ruach, which is used hundreds of times in the Old Testament. It's all over

the place, translated as Spirit of God, which we looked at last episode, but also alternately

translated. And the whole idea is that as

we look at this Ruach and a couple of other symbols that mark the presence of God, then our Old

Testament study becomes not just one for insight or for strength of testimony or to become familiar with the stories.

It becomes a handbook for how to see God's presence in your life.
