So if you have scripture tonight, we're going to begin in

second Timothy together in chapter three.

And as you open your scripture however you're doing that,

physically or digitally, technologically, I wonder how are we

feeling tonight as we're opening the Word of God?

Okay, that was a question.

I'm sorry, I kind of came out like a statement, so let me back up.

I can do better.

So as we open up the Word tonight, I'm wondering how are we feeling tonight

about opening the Word of God?

And obviously we're going to get a cheer there because we had two chances and all that.

But what I really am hoping for tonight is as we open this Word of God

something is going to change in our approach

to scripture from this moment on in our lives.

The title of the message tonight and I have a title is Breath of Heaven.

Putting on the table this idea tonight that this book is like no other book.

It is the book that brings life and ends death.

That's why in this series a little tagline says why the Word of God is the way of life.

Now I don't know how you see scripture.

I know people see it all different ways and probably all over the map.

I know in culture people probably respect the Word in some sense of the Word.

Like it's a relic or an artifact.
