Hi Dr. Mona, this is Brittany. I have a wonderful one-year-old son that you can hear in the background.

He is one of those babies that suffers from, I guess it was called a breast holding spell.

He will cry so hard that he'll hold his breast and his body will actually pass him out.

His lips will turn blue, his eyes will roll back, I'll get really pale.

We talked to the doctor about it, he didn't seem super concerned.

He just said to try obviously to avoid him getting that upset.

But my son's done it quite a few times in a couple months.

When are we concerned with it? When is it something that we do need to ask more questions about?

trigger a breath holding spell and a breath holding spell will sound exactly like it sounds.
