In the show this week the drug Anastrazol can help prevent thousands of cases of breast cancer

Tens of thousands of post menopausal women in England could benefit from a drug

that helps to prevent breast cancer. The disease is the most common cancer in

countries like the UK and an astrazol has been used to treat it for decades.

But the drug has now been licensed as a preventative option too.

NHS England's National Clinical Director for Cancer, Professor Peter Johnson, told the BBC it was a major development.

It reduces the chances of breast cancer developing by about a half, which is obviously really quite striking and that's about
