John, there's a lot of Monday morning quarterbacking going on in society as a whole when it

comes to the handling of the pandemic, what decisions were made, when, by whom,

were they right, were they wrong?

Were they overreactions?

Were they underreactions?

And of course, a lot of that quarterbacking is happening in the church.

We're looking back on the last two years and thinking, what do we do and was it the right

decision? Was it worth what it cost us to preserve

and kind of protect public health? And one of our listeners writes in with a question very much

along those lines. This person wants to know, from your recent commentary on the art of dying well,

I agree wholeheartedly. However, recognizing how many of us responded in the pandemic, including Christians, by simply giving up community and much of what defined our society culture for the sake of health, we gave up education, family, relationships, exercise, and health, and even church meetings.

Do you feel like our response was incorrect?

Especially, I'm wondering if churches stopped meeting too fast, or is there a sense that we should respect the public concern?

Of course, our response was incorrect.

Incorrect in all kinds of ways.
