fellow for worldview and culture here at the Colson Center, led a special webinar with John

Stone Street in our Colson Fellows webinar series this past week. The webinar series is offered to our Colson

Fellows in Training. These are people from around the world who sign up for 10 months of in-depth

worldview study with an expectation that at the end of the program, they have a three-year

ministry plan. This conversation is one of many in a series of

Brown and John Stone Street as they discuss the culture and our calling to it.

Let's talk a little bit about what's going on now.

I think that we don't need to say much about politics unless you really want to say something about politics.

The shrill voices of the politicians and that's coming out and the the complete polarization is is overwhelming

right now where is a Christian find themselves so I'll let you address that in general but I was

talking to you before about some things that we were with a listening to a friend of ours and I'll

let you can say who he is but I won't't. I'll listen. But he was, back, he mentioned an

article by David Brooks. And I can't remember the name of it. Something like America's having a

moral convulsion or something like that. Something like that. Yeah. And, and he brought up this

thing that, and I've talked about this a lot, how it used to take a culture about 20, 25 years to

turn over, you know, to change core beliefs and maybe to change a little bit of communication,

technology, vocabulary, and so on. And that began to shrink and shrink and the shrink. And he says,

now it's somewhere between four and six years. And even that is contracting a lot as well. And he gave a good example of gay marriage,
