All right, Brian, we're going to keep the train rolling here, and we're going to start talking about the breakouts on defense.

And we're going to talk through, you know, players that have the opportunity to move up levels.

We talked about that yesterday.

Breakout players can mean a lot of different things.

It can go from players who just haven't really done anything in a Notre Dame uniform to,

hey, they were a rotational piece last year, so on and so forth.

And so when you start talking about breakout players, Brian, big picture, where does that start for you?

I think one of the interesting things when I look at last year's team, Trev, is the fact that

last year we saw all the levels of a breakout.

Leonard Moore broke out and became a star.

I would even argue that Riley Mills broke out last season, starting at the Louisville game.

Like he was a good player the year before, but became a stud after that.

So those are two different types. One guy went for being a good player to a great

player. Another guy went from being, you know, you look at Leonard Moore, freshman, not playing a

whole lot to freshman, All-American star player. You look at Drake Bowen going from being a guy that

barely played to a really good starter. Didn't have a breakout from the standpoint if he was an

All-American, but that's a breakout. Now we're expecting Drake to take another jump, and he

technically being the breakout category as well. And really, Adon and Drake would both also be

considered breakouts if they become the stars that we think they're going to be. When I look at it,

though, it's not just them, though. It's not just the Riley Mills's and the Drake Bowens and the Leonard Moors.

It's also guys like a Donovan Heinish, who really never played a lot of meaningful downs for Notre Dame in the past.

And wasn't a guy that really you looked at preseason and you're thinking, boy, Donovan heinous is going to be a really impactful
