The United States has begun strikes on Iran again, targeting multiple Iranian ports along the straight of war moves.

Now, U.S. officials tell Barack Ravid and Axios that this is not a restarting of the war,

but I'm not sure what you call bombing Iranian ports in other territory other than restarting the war.

It also comes, as we're learning, that the Trump administration cut critical

scientific research funding for a program designed to study hanta virus, specifically the virus

strain, the Andes virus strain that jumped from human to human, the one at issue now. They cut

this last year and we're just now learning about it. Same time, Tennessee Republicans passed a new map that would eliminate the black majority

district in Tennessee and a hell of a lot more.

Something important that we're going to talk about is the way the media just adopts

everything the president says or the White House says just because they say it. And what we're seeing with the strikes in Iran is no different because this is what Brock Ravid just put out moments ago, saying the United States conducted strikes on Thursday on Iranian targets in the Strait of Ormuz area. The U.S. official says the strikes do not constitute a resumption of the war with Iran.

I'm not sure what that means, because to me, bombing Iran means the resumption of hostilities,

the resumption of the war in Iran.
