Here at our ministry we have a group that we call Fast Forward Challenge group.

We regularly take time to fast.

Every year we start with a 21 day fast,

and many of you have been exposed to the teaching on fasting.

But fasting is not the only method to living healthy, because the

benefit of fasting is really the spiritual, more than physical. When it comes to the rest of the

time that we don't fast, we have to have a biblical perspective and have a proper view on food.

We know that food is a gift from God.

We know that it gives us strength and also gives us satisfaction.

We know that gluttony is bad.

It's an excessive ongoing act of eating or drinking.

It abuses our natural desire for nourishment, it's overindulgence and overconsumption of food.

And as I like to mention a lot of times that many people have made stomach into a God.

Their God is their belly, their glory is their shame, like Paul says in the Philippians chapter 3 verse 19,

and they set their minds on earthly things.
