Tonight, John Cornyn, the senior senator from Texas, was defeated by Ken Paxton, the current Attorney General, in the Republican runoff primary for the Texas Senate race.

Ken Paxton will face Democratic nominee James

Tolarico in November. In a race that will be probably the most expensive Senate race in the

entire country. Why? Because for the first time in a long time, Democrats will be able to flip Texas blue if everything goes their way.
